FanZone

The FanZone, outside of Turn 4 near the Monster Monument at Victory Plaza presented by Smithfield, is free to all fans. Interactive displays will be set up, featuring games, free sampling, live music and more. Some focal points include a number of partners such as: Monster Energy, Delaware Office of Highway Safety, New Holland, Busch (beer), DeWalt, Comcast XFINITY, One Main Financial, ACME, Air Force, Delmarva RV, KEEN (footwear), Sundance Vacations, Power Home Remodeling Group, Maestro’s Classic, Leaffilter, USO Military Village and the NASCAR Foundation.

The FanZone is open at 10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 29; 9 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 30; and 8 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 1.

Monster Mile Youth Nation

Free to all fans with hours of 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 30 and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 1. The area is designed for fans ages 12 and under to explore NASCAR. Attractions including a Super Dome Bounce House, Eurobungy, Meltdown, Tubs Of Fun (amusement ride), Drag Strip Racing Challenge, Pipe Rush, Boot camp obstacle course, 704 Games (video gaming unit), display vehicles from Dover Air Force Base and a DJ will be available.

Food Trucks and Treats

Sample some of Delmarva’s best treats in our food truck section near the FanZone. Starting at 9 a.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, sample some of your favorite treats from:

  • DC Slices: Pizza slices, tater tots, cheese tots, mozzarella sticks
  • The Hungry Spork: Loaded tater tots, bacon kebabs, shrimp tacos, Italian sausage and peppers sub
  • Plum Pit: Sandwiches, tacos, rice bowls
  • 2 Bold Chefs: Chicken shawarmas, beef kabobs, lamb gyros, specialty salads

Also, there are some menu favorites returning in the fall, including: 

  • Monster Beef and Cheddar: Pulled pot roast, beef gravy, fried onions, white cheddar cheese sauce on a brioche bun. 
  • Pulled Pork Loaded Fries: French fries, pulled pork, bacon, cheese sauce, jalapenos, choice of three barbecue sauces (Carolina, Texas, Kansas City). 
  • Pulled Pork Mac & Cheese: Pulled pork, mac & cheese, choice of three barbecue sauces (Carolina, Texas, Kansas City). 
  • Walking Tacos: Ground beef, choice of Doritos or Fritos, cheddar cheese, lettuce, salsa, sour cream, jalapenos. 
  • Salted Caramel Filled Pretzel: Jumbo Bavarian pretzel stuffed with salted caramel, topped with cinnamon rock sugar. 
  • Monster Crunch: Tasty fried treat with two special flavors: cinnamon sugar and cajun spices.

1 p.m. Jimmie Johnson appearance at Dover Lowe’s store at 1405 North Dupont Highway in Dover. The seven-time NASCAR champions will give autographs and participate in a Q&A at 1 p.m. The No. 48 Lowe’s Chevy SS Showcar will also be at the event. Hero cards and special Sharkbite product demos and giveaways will also be available.

5 p.m. NASCAR Hauler Parade through Downtown Dover.

6:30 p.m. Chris Buescher appearance at Weis Store at 17232 N. Village Main Blvd., Lewes, Del. 19958.

7:30 p.m. Pit Road Pickers perform at Fire and Ice in Dover Downs Casino. Group is made up of people who work in the NASCAR industry, including NASCAR Wire Service writer Reid Spencer and NASCAR Media Relations Director Matt Humphrey and focuses on music from the 1960s, 1970s and early 1980s.

8 a.m. The No. 48 Lowe’s Chevy SS Showcar will be displayed at the Lowe’s in Bear, Del. at 10130 East Songsmith Drive. Hero cards and special Sharkbite product demos and giveaways will also be available.
