Group Recruitment

Dover International Speedway is always seeking groups to assist its full-time staff during its NASCAR weekends. Come be part of the fun and excitement at the Monster Mile when NASCAR returns to Dover on Sept. 30-Oct. 2.

  • Transport guests with disabilities from the accessible parking lots to grandstand area via golf carts around Speedway property.

ADMISSIONSPic for Group Site 2

  • Greet guests at entrance points
  • Verify valid ticket/credential for entry and re-entry
  • Scan tickets at admission gate upon entry, exit and re-entry
  • Shifts range from 4-12 hours

  • Assist with facility clean-up following each day of races, including grandstand areas and parking lots.
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Cook and sell DIS concessions items and assist management staff with inventory, cleaning and money collection at assigned location.
  • Alcohol is served at most DIS locations. Groups are highly encouraged to recruit as many volunteers 21 years or older as possible. No prior server experience necessary, however we do require groups have enough volunteers with a valid Delaware ABC license. A license is free to obtain and is good for 3 years, allowing volunteers to work multiple events.
  • After each event, groups are required to do a basic cleaning of their area (sweep, wipe down counters, take out trash, re-package any leftover food, etc.) before they are dismissed.

FAN EXPERIENCEPic for Group site 1

  • Assist full-time staff with ensuring fan enjoyment during events, including in areas such as the FanZone, Monster Mile Youth Nation and our various hospitality areas.
  • Assist as requested with other duties.

Assists in corporate and fan hospitality at Speedway, which includes:

  • Greeting guests
  • Assuring customer satisfaction
  • Stocking catered areas
  • Executing hospitality orders
  • Set-up and breakdown of hospitality locations
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Greet guests/answer questions concerning the event, facility, services and other information.
  • Distribute Fan Guides and Facility Maps to guests
  • Shifts range from 4-12 hours

  • Greet guests at vehicle entry points
  • Provide direction, guidance and assistance to guests and staff
  • Control access to assigned RV/parking lot
  • Shifts range from 5-15 hours

Team secures and protects people and property in and around the track and within the numerous campgrounds around the speedway. Duties could potentially include:

  • Controlling entry to restricted areas,
  • Working with law enforcement to secure and protect campsites
  • Working with NASCAR in the garage and pit road areas

Assists full-time DIS ticketing staff as a box office ticket sales attendant. Duties include:

  • Selling tickets
  • Printing will call
  • Providing information
  • Assisting with lost and found
  • Scanning bar-codes for exclusive events on race weekend.

  • Assist guests with ticket discrepancies and other concerns
  • Relocate guests with seating discrepancies and other concerns
  • Monitor and keep clear aisles, guest sightlines and closed sections
  • Operate elevators as assigned
  • Shifts range from 4-10 hours
