DOVER, Del. – Dover International Speedway has launched its newly revamped website, DoverSpeedway.com. The redesigned website reflects the Monster Mile’s commitment to the hundreds of thousands of race fans who visit the track for its two NASCAR event weekends each year.
A variety of new features will provide fans with quick access to the information they are searching for when visiting the site. A “Plan Your Experience” feature allows race fans to pinpoint the perfect ticket and add-on hospitality options based on their specific preference for how to enjoy a race, including on-site RV camping, family ticketing, and alcohol- and tobacco-free seating options.
The site also includes photos and video from recent race weekends; an interactive seating chart that allows potential ticket buyers to preview the view from specific seats through photos and videos of that section; and an updated, easy-to-use shop for purchasing Dover International Speedway merchandise.
“When race fans visit the Monster Mile, they expect to see high-speed, edge-of-your-seat excitement on the track, so it only makes sense that we have a website that reflects that personality,” said Denis McGlynn, president and CEO of Dover Motorsports, Inc. “In building the site, we also wanted to create something that was interactive and easy to navigate, and we think we’ve accomplished that goal and created a very fan-friendly community. Over time, our website will continue to evolve to meet the needs of our fans.”
In the coming weeks, DoverSpeedway.com will updated with new features and news items, including a “First-time racegoer” section that will teach Dover newcomers all they need to know about attending a race at the Monster Mile, contests, a media portal and more.
The site was created by The Vault, a full-service agency based in New York City.
Tickets are now on sale for the June 1-3, 2012 and Sept. 28-30, 2012 race weekends at Dover International Speedway. For more information, call 800-441-RACE or visit DoverSpeedway.com.
