Ease your raceday travel by signing up for E-ZPass, featuring free transponders in Delaware through 2014

When on the way to a race weekend at Dover International Speedway, the last thing any race fan wants to encounter is any sort of traffic snag, as it only serves to push back arrival time and keep them from all the fun the track has to offer.

Of course, leaving early on Sunday morning, or even joining us for the entire race weekend and arriving Friday — or even sooner if you’re staying in one of our RV lots — can help in avoiding any delays on the road.

The free transponder promotion will make raceday travel easier for all race fans visiting the Monster Mile, as they can bypass long lines at toll plazas and breeze right through E-ZPass lanes all the way to the track. Open to residents of any state, the promotion will end Dec. 31, 2014.

Commercial accounts and “On-the-Go” sales are not eligible for the free transponder promotion.

E-ZPass is a modern toll collection technology that makes traveling more convenient, helps drivers save money through multi-use discounts, including the Delaware SR-1 Frequent User Plan. Available to Delaware E-ZPass account holders, this discount requires 30 or more qualifying trips on Delaware Route 1 within a 30-day rolling period based on posting date to your account.

The discount, which stands at 50% off the cash fare, is applied five days after the end of the 30-day period. This plan is for individual accounts only and will automatically be assigned to the transponders on two-axle vehicles. The 30 trips must be made on the same transponder in order to qualify.

E-ZPass also helps reduce traffic congestion, especially during peak times like race weekend at Dover International Speedway.
