The Spring weekend is highlighted by the “AAA 400 Drive for Autism” Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race on Sunday, June 4, featuring 40 of the world’s top stock car drivers. See champions such as Jimmie Johnson, Kyle Busch and Kevin Harvick battle young stars Chase Elliott, Kyle Larson and Austin Dillon during 400 laps at the Monster Mile.
The 2016 Spring race produced one of the greatest spectacles in track history, as Kenseth survived an 18-car pileup on a late restart, then held off Larson and Elliott in a thrilling duel to the checkered flag. Many motorsports observers called the Spring 2016 race the most exciting in Dover’s long history.
Leading up to Sunday’s “AAA 400 Drive for Autism” will be the NASCAR XFINITY Series race on Saturday, June 3 and the “Bar Harbor 200” presented by Sea Watch International NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race on Friday, June 2. Both the NASCAR XFINITY Series and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series feature top young drivers like William Byron, Justin Allgaier and Ryan Reed, who fans can look forward to seeing in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series in the years to come.
In the Fall, the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series returns on Sunday, Oct. 1. Once again, the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race at the Monster Mile will serve as the first elimination of the 2017 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series playoffs. The Fall weekend also includes the “Drive Sober 200” presented by the Delaware Office of Highway Safety NASCAR XFINITY Series race on Saturday, Sept. 30 and the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East race on Friday, Sept. 29.
