Oncoming heavy rainfall forces cancellation
Due to approaching heavy rainfall, the Dover vs. Pocono Celebrity Softball game, scheduled for Wednesday, April 30 at the home of the York (Pa.) Revolution, has been cancelled.
“When planning great events like the Celebrity Softball game for our fans, Mother Nature is one thing we can’t control,” said Mike Tatoian, executive vice president and COO of Dover Motorsports, Inc. “And the safety of our fans and all participants in the game needs to take precedence. We’re disappointed we won’t have the opportunity to defend our 2013 victory, but look forward to resuming our rivalry with our friends at Pocono Raceway in 2015.”
As of right now, the Revolution’s game against the Lancaster Barnstormers on Wednesday, April 30 is still scheduled for 7 p.m. Whether that game is played or not, fans may exchange those tickets free of charge for a future Revolution home game of their choice, based on availability. Fans who purchased tickets to Wednesday’s events should contact the York Revolution at 717-801-4487 with any additional questions.
