Clint Bowyer ran the fastest lap on Friday in the happy hour for Saturday’s “OneMain Financial 200” NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Dover International Speedway. His lap of 23.794 seconds was good for an average speed of 151.299 mph, which slightly eclipsed fellow NASCAR Sprint Cup Series drivers Kasey Kahne, Brad Keselowski and Carl Edwards.
Trevor Bayne and Ryan Truex were the fastest NASCAR Nationwide Series competitiors, running fifth-quickest overall at exactly 150.489 mph each. Right behind them was NASCAR Nationwide Series points leader Ricky Stenhouse Jr. at 150.269 mph.
Elliott Sadler, who enters the race 14 points behind Stenhouse, was 10th fastest at 149.900 mph. Reed Sorenson, who is in third place at 47 points back, was 17th quickest at 148.264 mph.
The green flag for the “OneMain Financial 200” NASCAR Nationwide Series race is set to drop at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
