Brad Keselowski celebrates his victory in the “AAA 400” at Dover International Speedway on Sept. 30, 2012. Keselowski is expected to attend the 30th annual Charitable Golf Tournament, presented by the Bayhealth Foundation and Dover Motorsports, on Thursday, Oct. 1 at Maple Dale Country Club in Dover.
The tournament again coincides with the Oct. 2-4 NASCAR weekend at Dover International Speedway. NASCAR star Brad Keselowski, the 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion, is scheduled to attend the post-event dinner that evening.
What started in May 1986 as a local fundraiser, spearheaded by Dover Motorsports President & CEO Denis McGlynn and officials from Kent General Hospital, has grown into an event that has raised more than $1 million for patient care at Dover’s Bayhealth Medical Center. Among the NASCAR legends that have made appearances at the event in the past are Rusty Wallace, Neil Bonnett, Harry Gant, Terry Labonte, Richard Petty and many more.
Bayhealth serves as the Official Medical Services Provider of Dover International Speedway, with their staff members providing support at multiple locations on the property during special event weekends, including the infield care center inside Turn 4 and the fan care center outside of Gate 1.
Sponsorship and playing opportunities for the Oct. 1 tournament are still available.
Remaining sponsorship options range from $125 to $10,000, with some packages including green fees, golf cart, practice area access, player gifts, lunch, dinner, beverages on the course and awards.
