Blaney outdistanced Erik Jones, turning the table after Jones just barely beat Blaney in the second round by 0.006 MPH, which translates to Jones winning a race by something less than a foot.

The end of the third qualifying round was delayed after Brandon Jones spun in Turn 2.  He managed to avoid damaging his car, which came to rest nose-first on the inside wall of the backstretch.  However, his splitter stuck underneath the barrier, resulting in a longer-than-normal delay while the car was removed.   Jones was seventh-fastest in the second qualifying round, but will start 12th after this mishap.

Matt Crafton will start third, followed by Tyler Reddick, Daniel Suarez, John Nemechek, Cameron Hayley, Justin Boston, Jesse Little and Cole Custer in the top 10.

The green flag is scheduled to drop on the Lucas Oil 200 at 5:48 PM.  Live coverage on Fox Sports 1 begins at 5:30.
