NASCAR Sprint Cup practice over; NASCAR XFINITY Series still scheduled for a 3:30 p.m. start time

Saturday activities at Dover International Speedway were impacted by another batch of wet weather.

The second scheduled NASCAR Sprint Cup Series practice session was cut short on Saturday afternoon after a short burst of rain hit the track.

Efforts are underway to dry the track in preparation for the “Hisense 200” NASCAR XFINITY Series race, which is still scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m.

Any changes to the schedule will be shared as soon as possible.

William Byron clinched the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East season title with a top 10 finish in the “Drive Sober 125” presented by the Delaware Office of Highway Safety.

Ryan Blaney is on the pole for the “Hisense 200” NASCAR XFINITY Series race.

The scheduled NASCAR XFINITY Series driver autograph session, set for Saturday at 10:30 a.m., was canceled.
