Spring 2018 Race Weekend Activities

Activities and events surrounding the upcoming May 3-6 NASCAR weekend at Dover International Speedway, including driver appearances, free autograph sessions, exciting fan activities and more! Enjoy your time at the Monster Mile.

FanZone

The FanZone, outside of Turn 4 near the Monster Monument at Victory Plaza presented by Smithfield, is free to all fans. Interactive displays will be set up, featuring games, free sampling, live music and more.

The FanZone is open at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 4; 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 5; and 8 a.m. on Sunday, May 6.

Vendors include: Monster Energy, OneMain Financial, Smithfield, Delaware Office of Highway Safety, Comcast XFINITY, Toyota, New Holland, 5-Hour Energy, Flex Seal, Renewal by Anderson, Sundance Vacations, Ford, Honda Power Equipment, GearWrench, U.S. Army and the NASCAR Foundation.

Monster Mile Youth Nation

Free to all fans with hours of 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 5 and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 6. The area is designed for fans ages 12 and under to explore NASCAR. Attractions (subject to change) will include: a mechanical bull, inflatable bounces, an Ultimate Sports Arena, an obstacle course, an RC2U-Portable Racing and a disc jockey.

Frankie’s Cafe At The Monster Mile

Dover Downs Hotel & Casino will again present Frankie’s Café at the Monster Mile, a Tuscan-style café with the flavor and atmosphere of its Frankie’s Wine Bar and Italian Restaurant during race weekend. The café offers race fans a variety of menu options in an al fresco setting, features two fully-stocked bars and is located near the Monster Monument in Victory Plaza. Hours are Thursday –  Noon to 4 p.m. (bar only); Friday – 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturday – 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Sunday – 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The Hangout

Take a break from the hustle and bustle of race weekend in our relaxing fan area located near the FanZone and the Monster Monument at Victory Plaza presented by Smithfield. Features free Wi-Fi!

Bear Hollow Wood Carvers

Free chainsaw carving demonstrations all weekend in Victory Plaza. Auctions scheduled for noon on Saturday and 12:30 p.m. on Sunday.

50-50 Raffle

Benefits Autism Delaware. Look for people with vests selling near the FanZone on Friday, Saturday and Sunday of race weekend! The winner will be selected during the “AAA 400 Drive for Autism” Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race on Sunday.

10 a.m. FanZone attractions open

10 a.m. Cody Coughlin autograph session at JEGS display in FanZone. Coughlin is the driver of the No. 2 Chevrolet for GMS Racing in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.

11 a.m. FREE NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Autograph Session at the Delaware Office of Highway Safety display in the FanZone. First come, first served. Drivers scheduled include Jennifer Jo Cobb, Matt Crafton, Grant Enfinger, Ben Rhodes, Myatt Snider, Todd Gilliland, Harrison Burton, Justin Haley, Cody Coughlin. Wristbands distributed at 10 a.m.
