Dover Weather Updates

This page offers the latest information on the Sept. 30-Oct. 2 NASCAR tripleheader weekend schedule at Dover International Speedway. The weekend features the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East race on Friday, Sept. 30, and the “Drive Sober 200” presented by the Delaware Office of Highway Safety NASCAR XFINITY Series race and the “Citizen Soldier 400” NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race on Sunday, Oct. 2.

Dover International Speedway Sunday Program Updates

All updates provided below are subject to change.

  • Tickets: Gates open at 9:30 a.m. No additional NASCAR XFINITY Series tickets will be sold. NASCAR XFINITY Series ticket-holders will be allowed access on Sunday, Oct. 2, but NASCAR Sprint Cup Series ticket holders will have seating priority after the NASCAR XFINITY Series race is concluded. Tickets to the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race will provide access to both the NASCAR XFINITY Series race (slated to begin at 10 a.m.) and the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race (slated to begin at 2 p.m.).
  • Trackside Access: This program has been canceled. Dover International Speedway ticket office personnel will contact purchasers after the race.
  • The Pit Stop: The Pit Stop will only be open to those who purchased it for Sunday.
  • Ultimate Fan Pass: Pedestrian access via Gate 12 ONLY. There will be no garage tours available as a result of the rescheduled race. The driver’s meeting now starts at 12:15 p.m. Access to the pits will not be available until the completion of the NASCAR XFINITY Series race. Breakfast will be served as scheduled at 7:30 a.m.
  • Pre-Race Fan Pass: Pedestrian access via Gate 12 ONLY. The “Tireside Chat” portion of the program with George Keller has been canceled. Access to the pits will not be available until the completion of the NASCAR XFINITY Series race.
  • Jimmie Johnson Q&A: This NASA and Q&A portion of this program have been canceled. Race tickets are still valid for the NASCAR XFINITY Series and NASCAR Sprint Cup Series events.
  • Denny Hamlin Q&A: This Q&A portion of this program has been canceled. Race tickets are still valid for the NASCAR XFINITY Series and NASCAR Sprint Cup Series events.
  • MMYN youth autograph session: This program has been canceled.
  • Martin Truex Jr. FREE appearance at the Monster Monument: This event is still on schedule.
  • Easton Corbin FREE concert: This event is still on schedule. Note that the stage is now located outside of Turn 4 of the Speedway, near the Fanatics SuperStore.
  • The Hangout: Hours remain unchanged and driver appearances remain on schedule.
  • The Blue Hen Corporate Center Park and Ride will open at 8 a.m., as scheduled.
  • Shuttles from the RV lots will begin at 9 a.m., as scheduled.

Please check back often for any updates or changes to the scheduled events for Sunday.

UPDATE: OCT. 1; 6:10 p.m.

The fireworks show scheduled for Saturday night is still on. The display begins at 9 p.m.

UPDATE: OCT. 1; 5:20 p.m.

Due to inclement weather, Monster Mile Movie Night, featuring “Big Hero 6,” has been canceled.

UPDATE: OCT. 1; 4:55 p.m.

Due to Saturday’s inclement weather, the NASCAR XFINITY Series race has been moved to Sunday, Oct. 2 with a 10 a.m. green flag. Gates open at 9:30 a.m.

Anyone with a ticket to either event may enter and remain in the grandstands for both events.

During the time between the NASCAR XFINITY Series race and the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race, please be aware that NASCAR Sprint Cup Series ticket holders have priority on reserved seats. If you have reserved NASCAR XFINITY Series tickets, please remember that those seats MAY NOT be available for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race.

If you have tickets to both races in different locations, please make your way to your reserved NASCAR Sprint Cup Series seat location at the completion of the NASCAR XFINITY Series race.

If you have any questions or concerns, please locate the nearest usher or CSC security staff in yellow shirts.

UPDATE: OCT. 1; 4:48 p.m.

The “Drive Sober 200” presented by the Delaware Office of Highway Safety NASCAR XFINITY Series race has been postponed. The green flag is now scheduled for Sunday at 10 a.m. The race will be televised on CNBC.

UPDATE: OCT. 1; 2:03 p.m.

The final practice session for the “Citizen Soldier 400” NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race has been canceled. Green flag for the “Drive Sober 200” presented by the Delaware Office of Highway Safety is scheduled for 3:06 p.m.

UPDATE: OCT. 1; 1:35 p.m.

The final practice session for the “Citizen Soldier 400” NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race has been delayed.

UPDATE: OCT. 1; 12:31 p.m.

Qualifying for the “Drive Sober 200” presented by the Delaware Office of Highway Safety NASCAR XFINITY Series race has been completed after one round.

UPDATE: SEPT. 30; 6:05 p.m.

Saturday RV shuttles will run for RV Lot 10 and RV Lot 9/12 as scheduled.

Shuttles will not run in RV Lot 2 due to wet conditions.

UPDATE: FRIDAY, SEPT. 30; 4:08 p.m.

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series qualifying for the Sunday, Oct. 2  “Citizen Soldier 400” has been canceled. The lineup will be set per the NASCAR rulebook.

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series qualifying for the Sunday, Oct. 2  “Citizen Soldier 400” is on hold.

NASCAR XFINITY Series practice is on hold because of inclement weather.

For our RV lot customers, be aware that shuttle service has been halted due to the muddy conditions. As road conditions improve throughout the grounds, the service may be restored.

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series’ first practice session has begun. It is scheduled to end at 11:27 a.m.

UPDATE: FRIDAY, SEPT. 30; 10:03 a.m.

The NASCAR K&N Pro Series East race lineup will be set by the rulebook. The qualifying session scheduled for 12:35 p.m. will now be a practice session.

UPDATE: FRIDAY, SEPT. 30; 8:08 a.m.

Due to inclement weather, the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East Series’ first practice has been canceled.

UPDATE: THURSDAY, SEPT. 29; 2:40 p.m.

Due to inclement weather, the NASCAR Hauler Parade scheduled for downtown Dover on Thursday has been canceled.
