Jones, Dillon lead NASCAR XFINITY Series practice

Multiple crashes marked the first NASCAR XFINITY Series practice session at Dover International Speedway on Friday, with Jeb Burton, Paul Menard and Darrell Wallace Jr. all finding trouble.

Erik Jones led the field with a lap of 158.597 mph, followed by Ty Dillon at 158.527 mph and Daniel Suarez at 158.256 mph.

The NASCAR XFINITY Series qualifying record is held by Kyle Busch, who turned a lap at 158.228 mph on May 15, 2010.

The second NASCAR XFINITY Series practice session is scheduled to begin Friday at 12:30 p.m. Qualifying for the “Ollie’s Bargain Outlet 200” NASCAR XFINITY Series Dash 4 Cash race is set for Saturday at 10:45 a.m., followed by the race at 2 p.m.
