The June 1-3, 2007 race weekend is months away, but now is the time to lock in your seats for all the action at the Monster Mile! It may seem like a long time away, but longtime fans know that now is the time to begin making plans for a great race weekend. By ordering early, race fans can take advantage of ticket availability in their price range, improved seat selection, and ticket blocks to keep your group together.
NASCAR recently announced their 2007 schedules for the NEXTEL Cup, Busch and Craftsman Truck Series events. Dover International Speedway is pleased to again present two tripleheaders of racing action in 2007 on June 1-3 and Sept. 21-23.
The June 1-3, 2007 race weekend includes:
Sunday, June 3, 2007
NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series
Saturday, June 2, 2007
NASCAR Busch Series
Friday, June 1, 2007
NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series
AAA Insurance 200
The Sunday, June 3, 2007, NASCAR NEXTEL Cup race marks the highly anticipated new season of Cup racing at Dover International Speedway. By the time the engines fire in Dover, fans will be up to speed on all the preseason team/driver/sponsor changes, and ready to cheer your favorites to victory. The teams will have 13 races under their belts and a good handle on how the season is shaping up.
Change is part of NASCAR, and there will be much to discuss in 2007. Two storylines worth following include the introduction of Toyota to the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series, and the official on-track unveiling of the Car of Tomorrow at select races. The COT will be used in both Dover races in 2007.
The Saturday, June 2, 2007 NASCAR Busch Series race will prove once again to be a great show and a fan favorite. Last year marked the 25th anniversary of the NASCAR Busch Series, and the series has raced in Dover since its inception. As they have for some time, a slew of NASCAR NEXTEL Cup regulars are sure to enter the Saturday Busch race, and use the additional seat time to hone their skills for Sunday’s big event. The winner of the race will again bring home a “monster” trophy, a sizeable check, and bragging rights.
On Friday, June 1, 2007, the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series motors into the Monster Mile. This gritty series always puts on a great show, and fans who purchase a ticket to the Friday Truck race can also see all three series on the track on the same day. The NASCAR Busch Series practices early in the day, followed by NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series qualifying in the early afternoon. You’ll want to be in your seats with plenty of time to spare when the green flag drops on the AAA Insurance 200 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race.
Make plans now to visit Dover International Speedway and watch as your favorites attempt to tame the Monster!
