SPONSOR ANNOUNCEMENT-Dover to unveil entitlement partner on Thursday, Sept. 19 for 100th NASCAR Cup Series race 

Announcement to also include a primary paint scheme unveil for the Dover race and driver appearance

 

Dover International Speedway will host a press conference announcing its entitlement sponsor for the Sunday, Oct. 6 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup race in front of the Monster Monument at Victory Plaza on Thursday, Sept. 19 at 11 a.m.

 

The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race on Sunday, Oct. 6 (NBCSN, 2:30 p.m. ET) is the first race of the Round of 12 in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series postseason and the 100th NASCAR Cup Series race at the Monster Mile. Dover will be just the 10th track in the nation to host 100 or more NASCAR Cup Series events.

 

In addition to announcing a new entitlement sponsor, the Sept. 19 event will include a Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series driver appearance, the unveiling of a primary paint scheme for that driver’s car in the Oct. 6 race, and details on an exclusive fan contest. Steve Post, a pit reporter for the Motor Racing Network, will emcee the event.

The Oct. 4-6 NASCAR tripleheader weekend caps the Monster Mile’s 50th Anniversary celebration. It also includes the “Use Your Melon Drive Sober 200” NASCAR Xfinity Series playoff race on Saturday, Oct. 5 and the “General Tire 125” NASCAR K&N Pro Series East season finale on Friday, Oct. 4.
