May 1-3 NASCAR Weekend Postponement FAQ

As a result of the Coronavirus’ impact on our nation, NASCAR and Dover International Speedway have taken actions to protect the safety of our fans, competitors and the sport’s stakeholders. As announced, the events at Dover International Speedway scheduled for May 1-3, 2020, have been postponed. At this time, the rescheduled date has not been determined.

Tickets for the May 1-3, 2020, events will be honored on the rescheduled date. Alternatively, ticketholders may elect to receive a credit for the full amount paid, plus an additional 20%, to apply toward a 2021 event at Dover International Speedway, including grandstand seating, camping, ticket packages and premium offers. The 120% event credit can be used in a single transaction for a 2021 event if your 2020 account is paid in full and has no outstanding balance.

Q: WHEN  WILL THE POSTPONED 2020 DOVER INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY EVENTS BE RESCHEDULED?

A: NASCAR and track officials are reviewing the event schedule and will announce a new date as soon as possible. Please visit DoverSpeedway.com often for updates. We will share news on all of our social channels when it becomes available.

 

Q: IF I’M UNABLE TO ATTEND THE RESCHEDULED DATE, WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS?

A: We are happy to offer ticketholders an enhanced event credit towards a 2021 Dover International Speedway NASCAR event. Event credits will be in the amount of your total order (including grandstand seating, camping, ticket packages and premium offers), plus an additional 20% credit. If fans are unable to attend another event in 2020 or 2021 we will accept requests for refunds. Event credits or refund requests can be made up to 30 days following the rescheduled event date announcement by speaking to a Dover ticket office representative at 800-441-RACE.

 

Q: ARE ANY OF THE FAN ACTIVITIES AT THE TRACK HAPPENING?

A: Due to the postponement, all planned fan activities on Speedway property have been postponed. This includes, but is not limited to, FanZone appearances and displays, concerts, tweetups, and any experiences planned to take place inside the Speedway. Additional information will be shared as plans are finalized for the rescheduled date.

 

Q: WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO GET AN EVENT CREDIT TOWARD A 2021 EVENT?

A: Our fans are our No. 1 priority and we will ensure that every customer is satisfied. We ask for your patience as our ticket office representatives will contact all customers in coming weeks with tickets on their accounts for the May 1-3 event weekend. All customers will be contacted to discuss options for an exchange or refund.

 

Q. CAN I GET A REFUND INSTEAD OF AN EVENT CREDIT?

A: If fans are unable to attend the rescheduled May 1-3 event, and cannot attend a 2021 NASCAR event at Dover, we will accept requests for refunds. Event bonus credits or refund requests can be made up to 30 days following the rescheduled event date announcement by speaking to a Dover ticket office representative at 800-441-RACE.

We ask for your patience as our ticket office representatives will contact all customers in coming weeks with tickets on their accounts for the May 1-3 event weekend. Refunds will take up to 60 days to appear on your credit card.

 

Q: HOW WILL I RECEIVE MY REFUND?

A: Refunds will be processed back to the credit card used on the original order. Refunds will take up to 60 days to appear on your credit card. If tickets were paid using another method of payment, a refund check will be issued and mailed to the ticketholder on file. Refund checks could additionally delay payment. Every effort will be made to expedite your refund.

 

Q: I BOUGHT TICKETS THROUGH ANOTHER SOURCE. CAN I STILL GET AN EVENT CREDIT OR REFUND?

A: Any future event credits or refunds will only be made to the ticketholder on file with the Speedway up to 30 days following the rescheduled event announcement. Customers who purchased tickets through a third party should contact them directly to pursue options.

 

Q: CAN I GET AN EVENT CREDIT FOR MY CAMPSITE AS WELL?

A: We are happy to offer ticketholders an enhanced event bonus redit towards a 2021 Dover International Speedway NASCAR event. Event bonus credits will be in the amount of your total order (including grandstand seating, camping, ticket packages and premium offers), plus an additional 20% credit. Event credits or refund requests can be made up to 30 days following the rescheduled event date announcement by speaking to a Dover ticket office representative at 800-441-RACE.

Customers who purchased tickets or camping through a third party (off-site camping, for example) should contact them directly to pursue options.

 

Q: HOW DO I GET A REFUND FOR THE REST OF MY RACE WEEKEND TRAVEL?

A: Fans will need to work directly with airlines, hotels, etc. for any possible arrangements.

 

Q: DOES THIS ONLY APPLY TO NASCAR EVENTS AT DOVER ONLY?

A: Yes. Firefly Music Festival and other Speedway events are not part of this policy.
