Q: What is the closest airport to Dover International Speedway?

A: The Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) and the Baltimore-Washington Airport (BWI) are the closest major airports to Dover International Speedway.

Q: Are there any autograph opportunities at Dover International Speedway?

A: Visit our website regularly as the races approach for driver appearances and autograph sessions taking place around the Dover area. Please keep in mind that on race day, drivers, like all athletes, are concentrating on the task ahead and not readily available.

Q: How do I get permission for my non-profit organization or charity to setup on race weekend?

A: Dover International Speedway prides itself on being an active member of the local community. Space on the property is valuable, and limited, and there is a waiting list of non-profit organizations and charities that would like to promote their cause on race weekend. Q: Do representatives from the track ever make presentations to local clubs?

A: Dover International Speedway employees are always willing to make a business presentation about the track to area clubs and are frequently asked to be featured speakers at Rotary, Lions and local Chamber of Commerce meetings. DRIVE THE TRACK

Q: How do I drive a racecar at Dover International Speedway?

A: Multiple organizations offer driving experiences at Dover. They include the Rusty Wallace Racing Experience, the Richard Petty Driving Experience , the Mario Andretti Racing Experience and Seat Time Racing School. They are not directly affiliated with Dover International Speedway – they rent the track from us, and offer their products on our property.

DRONES

Q: Can I bring my drone to the track?

A: Drones are not allowed on Dover International Speedway property.

LOST & FOUND

Q: Where is the Lost & Found?

A: Please turn found items over to a Speedway employee at any gate. To retrieve a lost item, go to Ticket Services near Gate 3, open Friday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Sunday 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. After hours DURING RACE WEEKEND, call (302) 883-6753. AFTER RACE WEEKEND, call (302) 883-6513 or email info@doverspeedway.com.

MONSTER BRIDGE

Q: Can I purchase tickets to the Monster Bridge?

A: Tickets for the Monster Bridge are not for sale to the public. They are available for contest winners, sponsors and other VIPs.

PARKING

Q: What does it cost to park at Dover International Speedway for a race?

A: Parking on Speedway grounds for Friday and Saturday is free. There is a $10 charge for parking on Speedway grounds on Sunday, the lowest price at any lot in town! Dover International Speedway has several parking areas available: the main entrance with lots labeled South, North and West (enter main entrance off Route 13); Lot 1 which is located on Leipsic Road (outside of Turn 4). Local businesses also park cars for the race and determine their own rates.

Q: Are there specific parking spots intended for motorcycles or scooters only?

A: Dover International Speedway does not allocate specific parking spots to motorcycle or scooter operators. However, you are welcome to park those vehicles in the general parking lots. The cost for parking does not differentiate between vehicles.

Q: What if my vehicle is towed?

If your vehicle is towed for any reason during your visit to Dover International Speedway, keep the following helpful tips in mind:

  • When parking your vehicle, be aware of your surroundings. Make note of parking lot and gate signage to assist you when exiting the event.
  • More than likely, your vehicle has not been towed off of Dover International Speedway grounds. It has just been relocated to another portion of the property because it had to be moved.
  • If your keys are locked in your car, your tire is flat, or if you’re involved in some other minor inconvenience involving your vehicle, you can get help for FREE, thanks to our partners at AAA. Call (302) 883-6753 for assistance.
  • Please contact our security team in our Joint Operations Center at (302) 883-6753 and we can verify if your vehicle has been towed on our property, and we can help provide the location of your vehicle on-site.

PARKING – DIRECTIONS

Q: What exit should I use from Route 1 to get to Dover International Speedway on Sunday of race weekend?

A: FROM THE NORTH:

On Sunday of race weekend, as the parking lot accessible via the main entrance to the property fills to capacity, exit 104 off of Route 1 may be closed.

Traffic is then rerouted 5.3 miles South to Exit 95 (S. Dover, Dover Air Force Base). Temporary directional signs on Route 1 will provide additional guidance. Once exiting Route 1 at Exit 95, motorists may proceed straight on Route 13 North to Lot No. 1. Lot No. 1 is located off of Route 13 North at Jefferic Boulevard. Signage will direct you into this lot. Lot 1 is at the end of Jefferic Boulevard, at its intersection with Buckson Drive. Jefferic Boulevard is less than 1 mile southeast of Dover International Speedway’s main entrance off Route 13.

Note: For those coming from the North that wish to avoid the possible closing of Exit 104 on Sunday morning, Exit 119A (Smyrna) or Exit 114 (S. Smyrna) may be used. Proceed down Route 13 South and follow signs for Dover International Speedway.

FROM THE SOUTH:

Motorists should proceed on to Lot 1. Lot 1 is located off of Route 13 North at Jefferic Boulevard. Signage will direct you into this lot. Lot 1 is at the end of Jefferic Boulevard, at its intersection with Buckson Drive. Jefferic Boulevard is less than 1 mile southeast of Dover International Speedway’s main entrance off Route 13.

PARKING – GUESTS WITH DISABILITIES

Q: What parking provisions are made for someone with a disability?

A: Dover International Speedway seeks to provide reasonable accommodations for all qualified individuals with disabilities.

We have three lots for persons with disabilities (Lot E, Turn 3 and South). The lots are monitored by the police to ensure that only persons with disabilities are in these lots. We also provide a golf cart courtesy shuttle service from the parking lots to the gates for persons with disabilities and a guest.

If you are transporting someone with a disability, their hang tag must be displayed on your vehicle (provided the owner of the tag is being transported). The vehicle will be directed to the closest parking lot for persons with disabilities. If anyone requires assistance to the grandstand, each lot for persons with disabilities has a designated pick-up point.

Please note that the person with the disability (to whom the plate or hang tag was issued) must be the driver of, or passenger in, the vehicle when the vehicle is parked in parking areas for persons with disabilities.

PARKING – SHUTTLE SERVICES

Q: What shuttle services are available on race weekend?

A: We recommend taking advantage of the available park-and-ride shuttle. Please note that these shuttle services are only available on Sunday of race weekend.

From the Christiana Mall off of Route 1 in Newark: Board the “Race Express” park-n-ride shuttle and ride directly to Dover International Speedway. Service begins at 8 a.m. and costs $17 per person. This $17 fee includes parking and round trip bus service (exact change required). Children under 46″ ride free. There are 800 seats available on a first-come, first-served basis. PETS

Q: Are pets allowed at Dover International Speedway? What about service animals?

A: Pets are permitted in the RV and general parking areas but not in the Speedway itself. Pets must be leashed and under control at all times. Pet owners are responsible for their pets, including proper clean-up of waste, and must abide by designated “quiet hours” in the RV Lots at Dover International Speedway. Please be courteous to others.

We comply with applicable laws related to allowing service animals (animals that are individually trained to perform tasks for people with disabilities, such as seeing-eye dogs) on Speedway property. If you have special needs in this area, we encourage you to contact us in advance. Service animals must remain leashed and harnessed at all times.

We reserve the right to require that pets and service animals be removed from our premises at our discretion, for example, if they are out of control or pose a threat to the health or safety of others.

PIT PASSES

Q: Can I purchase pit passes?

A: Dover International Speedway sells a limited number of pit passes to the public in the track’s Pre-Race Fan Pass and the Ultimate Fan Pass. We do, however, offer Trackside Access through our FanVision Plus Package ticket offering, as well as a separate purchase option. All packages can be purchased by calling 1-800-441-RACE.

RACE LENGTH

Q: How long do the races last?

A: The Sunday Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race is 400 laps and typically lasts approximately 3.5 hours. The Saturday NASCAR Xfinity Series race, along with the Friday NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series race in the Spring, is 200 laps and lasts approximately 2 hours. The Friday NASCAR K&N Pro Series East race in the Fall is 125 laps and lasts approximately 90 minutes.

RADIOS/SCANNERS

Q: Can I rent a scanner at the race?

A: Yes, race scanners are available to rent at Racing Electronics merchandise stands located throughout the Speedway grounds. For more information on renting traditional scanners, please visit http://www.racingelectronics.com/ .

Q: Where can I find a list of the scanner frequencies?

A: Scanner frequency lists can be obtained during the weekends of major racing events by visiting the nearest scanner rental locations at Dover International Speedway. The MRN coverage of the Dover races can be found at radio frequency 454.000.

Q: Does Dover International Speedway broadcast the MRN radio coverage of the race at the track?

A: Dover International Speedway broadcasts the MRN coverage over the sound system. The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race is broadcast on the local MRN affiliate, 94.7 WDSD-FM. The NASCAR Xfinity and NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series races are broadcast on WDOV-AM 1410.

RECREATIONAL VEHICLES

Q: Do the RV lots have water and electricity hook ups?

A: The RV lots do not have water or electric hook ups, however, water is available free of charge in RV Lot 10 and at the main entrance, behind the credential trailer on Route 13.

Q: Where are RV dump stations located at Dover International Speedway?

A: Disposal Stations are in two places: The front of the property near the casino parking lots and in RV Lot 10. This service is available to all RV patrons parking on Dover International Speedway property.

If you prefer not to move, you can pay to be pumped by United Site Services by calling (800) 864-5387.

NOTE: It is prohibited to discharge any wastewater from holding tanks onto the ground. This includes gray water, CHT, or any other tank. Officials of the Delaware Natural Resources & Environmental Control Department (DNREC) will be in the RV parking lots to monitor compliance, and violators will be fined.

Q: May I purchase ice in the RV lots at Dover International Speedway?

Yes, mobile ice sales are available in all lots.

Q: Is infield RV parking available?

A: No.

Q: When does RV staging and RV load-in begin?

A: Call 1-800-441-RACE for more information.

Q: Is tent camping allowed in the RV lots at Dover International Speedway?

A: No, tent camping is not allowed in the designated RV lots, however we do have Premium and Carefree tent options available for fans on our property.

Q: How can I reserve an RV spot at Dover International Speedway?

Q: How much does it cost for a reserved RV spot at Dover International Speedway?

Q: When is trash picked up from the RV lots at Dover International Speedway?

A: Trash pickup is daily from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Please use dumpsters for the disposal of all trash, as trash will only be picked up from these designated areas. RV parking attendants will have trash liners available.

Q: May RV patrons light fires in barrels or other fireplace-type units?

A: While ground fires are not permitted in the RV parking areas, fires are permitted in barrels or other controlled units. If the fire department deems any fire unsafe, RV campers will be required to extinguish it.

TICKETS

Q: Can I buy tickets anywhere else but Dover International Speedway?

A: Tickets can be purchased in person at the Dover International Speedway ticket office; online at www.DoverSpeedway.com or by phone at 1-800-441-RACE. Tickets may not be resold for more than their face value. It is the Speedway’s policy to cancel all renewal privileges of any purchaser of a ticket found to have been resold at a price greater than face value. You may not resell a ticket at all if you are on property owned, leased or operated by Dover International Speedway or within 100 yards of such property. If you purchase a ticket that was lost, stolen or counterfeit, the Speedway will not honor it.

Q: What are the regulations if I have a credential?

A: You may not use this ticket for advertising, promotional (including contests and sweepstakes) or other trade purposes without our prior written consent. No distribution or sale of literature, other materials or merchandise is allowed on property owned, leased or operated by us. You grant permission to us and our agents to use your image and/or likeness in connection with any photograph, live or recorded display or other transmission or reproduction of any part of any event. You may not re-sell any ticket for more than its face value. You may not re-sell this ticket at all if you are on property owned, leased or operated by us or within 100 yards of such property. You must obtain your ticket from us or our authorized agents. If your ticket was lost, stolen or counterfeit we will not honor it.

No glass containers, strollers, umbrellas, motorized vehicles or weapons are allowed. We reserve the right to remove you from property owned, leased or operated by us, without refund, if your behavior is offensive or poses a hazard to others. Cooler policies may change prior to each event based upon local, state and national situations. NO items may be left at the gate. We reserve the right to search and inspect all persons. You must have a ticket, regardless of your age, in your possession at all times. If the event is postponed or rescheduled, this ticket will entitle you to admission on the rescheduled date for the event.

Q: Can I bring a seat cushion with a back on it to use in my grandstand seat?

A: Yes, seat cushions with back supports are permitted in the grandstands, however it must fit within the seat width allotted for each seat. Bleachers on the frontstretch in rows 1-25 don’t have backs. All other grandstand seats have seatbacks. All grandstand seats are 22 inches wide.

TICKETS – ALCOHOL & TOBACCO FREE

Q: Does Dover offer any grandstand seating exclusively for families, free of alcohol and tobacco?

A: Yes. All family value packages are located in alcohol- and tobacco-free seating sections. This includes Section 110 (rows 1-25) in the Allison Grandstand, Sections 128 (rows 31-60), 131 and 136 (rows 1-30) in Turn 4 and Section 223 (rows 1-30) in Turn 1.

TICKETS – CHILDREN

Q: Are the ticket prices the same for children?

A: Friday and Saturday – Children 12 and under are FREE for general admission or reserved seats. A ticket is still needed to access the grandstands.
Sunday – Children 12 and under can see a Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race for just $10 in sections 112 to 144, and 204 to 222, as well as rows 1-25 of section 110 with the purchase of one regularly priced adult ticket.

Q: If my child sits on my lap, do they still need a ticket?

A: Yes. Everyone entering through Dover International Speedway’s grandstand gates must have a ticket.

Q: I’ve recently moved. How do I update my account information?

A: It is very important for ticket holders to keep us notified of their address changes … it’s how we keep you updated with Speedway news! We also use your contact information on file to mail your tickets. To update any of your contact information, please call the Dover International Speedway Ticket Office at 1-800-441-RACE, or go online and log into your account to edit your information. You must already have an activated online account to do this.

Q: How do I find out more about potentially being a merchandise or concession vendor?

VIDEO SCREENS

Q: Can I send a special message to someone on the video screens located in the infield?

A: Unfortunately, because of the incredible amount of requests, we are unable to display any personalized messages on the video screens during the races. It is impossible to do this for everyone – so we are forced to not allow these messages, in an effort to be fair to all guests at Dover International Speedway.

WEATHER

Q: What happens if there is a weather delay or postponement?

A: The racing schedules are determined by NASCAR and Dover International Speedway. In the event of a delay or postponement due to severe or unusual weather, all admission tickets and camping reservations will be honored on the rescheduled race day. All ticket sales and camping reservations are final. Sorry, no refunds. Event Ticket Insurance, provided by Allianz Global Assistance, offers peace of mind by insuring against unforeseen circumstances. If a covered reason prevents you from attending the event, 100 percent of the ticket price, including taxes and shipping charges, is returned to you. See “Ticket Insurance” information provided above to learn more.

WEDDINGS

Q: Can I get married at Dover International Speedway?

A: Due to the growing number of people interested in weddings at the track, and NASCAR’s increasingly busy schedule, Dover International Speedway does not host weddings during NASCAR events. On non-race weekends, weddings may be arranged through the Dover Downs Hotel and Conference Center. For more information, contact the catering sales office at 1-866-376-2425.
